    Asociatia pentru Consolidarea Societatii Civile VJ

    Asociatia pentru Consolidarea Societatii Civile - Valea Jiului was founded in 2005 and since then works for two main target groups: youngsters and non-governamental organziation. ACSCVJ offers consultancy for project writing and implementing to local NGO and institutions and organizes different training courses, seminars, workshops etc.

    In 2008 ACSCVJ have started to give consultancy to other organizations and institutions at local level on internal and external financial lines as: Youth in Action, Europe for Citizens and LLP (Comenius and Grundtvig) etc. We help them with project writing, implementation and reporting consultancy as we want to bring our contribution to the development of a strong and empowered civic society in our region.

    We are members of the international network FLARE (Freedom, Legality and Rights in Europe) and of the Hunedoara County Foundation for Youth Organizations.

    In 2011 ACSCVJ have launched a local financial line to which youngsters who would like to do local level activities and events can apply (The Fund for creativity). Through the financial line we are financing small activities that the youngsters are implementing. Several activities implemented with money from us were on the topic of environment protection, anti-trafficking campaign, campaigns against domestic violence etc. This financial line "The Fund for Creativity" was developed with the purpose of stimulating the social entrepreneurship spirit of the local youngsters.

    We have coordinated and organized different international projects under the Youth in Action programme through which: study visits and training courses. During 2014 we have hosted a youth exchange in Mamaia and a training course in Deva. In 2016 we have hosted a final evaluation meeting in Alba-Iulia and in 2017 we will host the final project meeting for PIE+ project.

    We have participated in the European Voluntary Service programme since 2009.

    Our priorities for 2017-2018 are:
    - active citizenship and fight against corruption;
    - youth participation;
    - disaster preparedness and community resiliance building.
